Many people who pay high property taxes, pay high state income taxes and itemize deductions for any reason are going to see increases in their 2018 tax bills.
As we were coping with a third weekend of deep freeze, my inner optimist searched for things to be grateful for. First, I am grateful that we’ve had a good share of brilliant sunshine on many of these frigid days, which lifts the mood if not the thermometer.

Those who have worked in secret to create this Great American Tax Break seem to be of the mind that tossing a few dollars about for low- and middle-income families would distract from the bags of riches being provided to the very wealthy.
