MONTICELLO, NY — The new Sullivan County Jail is currently under construction, and progress has been good; the facility may be able to accept inmates in September of this year. The $75 million facility will have 256 beds.

MONTICELLO, NY — One way of measuring growth in Sullivan County is to count the number of “239 reviews” the county planning department performs each year. The department is required to perform a 239 review for projects that have “potential countywide or inter-municipal significance.”
