Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) CFO Pat Dunsinger appeared before the Wayne County Commissioners on January 11, where the panel approved the organization’s request that the county act as government sponsor for the WMCHC application to participate in the 340B Drug Discount Program. 340B is a federal government program created in 1992 that requires drug manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs to eligible health care organizations and covered entities at significantly reduced prices.

Wayne weighs opioid legal actions

HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Commissioners on January 11 were undecided about what the county’s role would be in ongoing legal actions against the makers/distributors of the opioid medications that killed 4,627 Pennsylvanians in 2016, the last year where summary figures are available.

HONESDALE, PA — RiverFolk Concerts will present The Slambovian Underground, Josiah Longo (lead singer-songwriter) and Tink Lloyd (accordian, cello and more), on Sunday, January 21 at 5 p.m. at The Cooperage. WMRS gives donations to food pantry

HONESDALE, PA — Two boxes swathed in colorful Christmas wrapping paper and filled with more than 130 non-perishable food and household items were delivered to the Wayne County Food Pantry on December 18, along with a matching amount of funds—as promised. The Wayne Memorial Rehabilitation Services (WMRS) staff at 190 Delaware St.
