‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’

HONESDALE, PA — Celebrate the 80th anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at The Cooperage on Saturday, November 4 at 3 p.m. This movie screening is for kids of all ages and fun for the whole family, with some activities for the kids to participate in before and after the film. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

BEACH LAKE, PA — Next year will be the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act, honoring and preserving the nation’s free-flowing rivers.  The Upper Delaware begins this celebration with the unveiling of the Upper Delaware Virtual Tour and the National Park Service’s (NPS) online museum.

A mysterious duo at the ARTery

MILFORD, PA — The ARTery Gallery’s will present June Ponte’s “The Amaranthine Aspect” and Bill Rabsey’s “Lost and Found” in November, with a wine and cheese reception on Saturday, November 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. The pairing of the two artists evokes a mysterious, Victorian Steam Punk environment.

Doing the Time Warp again!

It all began innocently enough in 1973, when director Jim Sharman and actor Richard O’Brien put their heads together and concocted a kitschy, campy, musical homage to horror, sci-fi and B movies that reigned supreme at the box office from the 1930s until reaching their heyday in the 1970s.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood

Well, it was anyhow. At the moment, it’s raining cats and dogs and what’s left of fall foliage is, well… falling. I did, however, spend the last week meandering through the mountains in search of leaf-peeping photo-ops and scored big time, although the explosions of color were at times difficult to find.
