Winter Lights kicks off with Mac 'n Chili Contest
MILFORD, PA — The 10th Winter Lights Festival, taking place on Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21, featuring free ice staking in Milford’s Ann Street Park, will kick off with a Mac ‘n Chili Contest on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dimmick Inn, with new guidelines and additional space as guests taste and compare the continuing challenge to make the traditional new and exciting.
Last year, due to on-going renovations, the space was tight, but in 2018 there will be an adjoining dining room to savor and select your numbered choices. First, second and third-place winners will be announced at approximately at 1:45 p.m. and are requested to appear at the Ann Street Park Rink at 2:20 p.m. to receive award plaques, audience recognition and newspaper interviews. A $5 donation per tasting ballot to the non-profit festival is requested, and children under four years old eat free.
To register your mac and cheese and/or chili, contact Mike Carson at michael firstname.lastname@example.org or by on Facebook @winterlightsfestivalmilfordpa. There is no entry fee to register, and you must supply at least two pounds of either dish to enter.
