Boy battling cancer fulfills dream of flying

MONTGOMERY, NY — It is the fight of his life, and the flight of a lifetime.

Thirteen-year-old Andrew Stephens of Middletown, NY was diagnosed with cancer on July 3, 2015, after enduring several months of misdiagnoses that put the youngster and his folks though an emotional wringer.

Art teacher Vince Sanborn explained how painter Lenny Dalby is able to utilize a rotating board in order to create works of art while painting with his foot during the opening reception for the SullivanARC exhibit “Expressions 2018.”


Mark your calendars. It’s a “red-letter day” in the Fox household, for I am quite literally at a loss for words. There are reasons for my sudden lack of (audible) commentary, and I’ve spent the past few days doing more listening than talking, causing most of the Upper Delaware River region to heave a collective sigh of relief and take note.

Easter egg hunt in Liberty

LIBERTY, NY — An Easter egg hunt will take place on Saturday, March 24 in the Village of Liberty. All activities are free thanks to the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation Department, Liberty Public Library and Liberty Elks Lodge. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, March 25.

Called “one of the best Blues/R&B guitarists in the country” by Billboard Magazine, Sharrard was the longtime writing partner, musical director and guitarist for Gregg Allman.
